Squirming Snake Caught in Glue
The Eastern Brown Snake is a commonly encountered venomous species, found throughout the Brisbane region. Unfortunately, they sometimes find themselves in precarious situations because of our modern world. This snake became stuck in the glue of a post packet at a warehouse in Helensvale. As it was squirming it entangled itself more. Thankfully our snake catcher Jasmine was able to slowly release it with some olive oil and a good pair of safety gloves.
While this was an accident, glue traps purposefully set to trap rodents do also harm wildlife. We ask that you don’t use these traps for pest control.
